google-TV-demoGoogle never stops itself. After the announced new service Google Music, the rumors about Android Jelly Bean that it could release in Q2 2012 and the impending launch of Google Storage, the giant of web is working on tv of future: the GoogleTV.
A few months ago Google has taken out a patent on a new TV and now some details have been leaked.

Google imagines the new Tv oriented towards the “clouds”. In according to it, we could launch commands to Tv as we always do, but these will go around world in particular to Google’s servers. There they will be processed and it will send to ours TVs. Why does Google dream a scenario as complex? Because Google wants to enable users to talk to TVs, infact they could send commands to TV by voice as “When is Seinfeld on?” and read the response on screen.

In this scenario the rule of Android devices is fondamental. Infact the users send the requests to Google’s servers by their smarthphones or special remote control equipped with mic.

Scenario Google Tv

Obviously we can be certain that Google will integrate others services as Youtube, Google Music ecc…

Google isn’t the only one trying to tie speech recognition to TVs. Lenovo announced a voice-enabled TV earlier this year and Samsung has already unveiled a remote control that recognizes voice commands and has a touchscreen. And, of course, speech is supposed to be a big part of Apple’s rumored iTV.

It’s very easy to imagine that when users will be enabled to control the Tv by their voice, many services could be designed.

The players of Tv market are moving and a new war of patents will start….and Apple and Google are sharpening their weapons.
